Fundraiser Sandra Grant
I took the Stand Up Comedy Course at the Comedy School from January to March 2010 and as I got
to know Keith and Debbie, I began to discover that there is much more to the Comedy School than
simply giving would-be comedians a step on the comedy ladder!
The work that is done within the
community, particularly working with young people, using Comedy to educate them regarding the
perils of knife crime and gang culture inspired me. As a result, having already entered for the
inaugural Brighton Marathon, and not having chosen a charity, I decided to run on behalf of the
Comedy School.
The dedication, hard work and commitment demonstrated by Keith, Debbie and
all those associated with the Comedy School is wonderful and I am privileged to have played a small
part in supporting their community projects.
The pictures are of me before the event and of me being the last to cross the start line - I had to find
a way of making my mark (show off that I am) and I knew it wouldn't be for crossing the finish line
first, so this was the next best thing!!!
